We offer several hands-on classes from bird feeders to rain barrels

This project class is for the birds but the kids like building them. A simple pine board feeder with clear acrylic sides with an easy open top for filling. Wood is predrilled so the little ones can build them too.

Cost: $12.00 non-members $10.00 members

The Garden Stepping stones are made of mortar mix cement, the dye is added when mixed. The leaf print is set in the form when poured. All children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult, because of the cement. Average size is 10” dia. and 2” deep, you can actually walk on these after they are set. Takes one week setting time at the nature center.

Cost: $10.00 non-members $8.00 members

One extra stepping stone per participant is $4.00

A pine board bat house similar to this picture can be placed on the sunny side of most buildings and even tree to encourage bats, you know the little mammals that fly and eat mosquitoes.
